Seminar brings churches together

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — Attendance topped 200 for a seminar entitled The Authenticity of the Bible which the Bible Society in the Gulf held at its Kuwait Center in May. Over two days, participants from all the Arab and Arabic-speaking churches in Kuwait explored and discussed the authenticity of the Bible arising from its content, its prophecies, and its eternal and life-changing realities.

Afterwards all those who had attended seemed very appreciative of the Bible Society’s initiative. Credit for most aspects of it, including the preparatory work and the conducting of the event over the two days went to Yousef Sabri, Arabic Program Co-ordinator of the Kuwait Center.

The seminar is in line with the overall strategy of Bible Society in the Gulf, namely Bible engagement, or “helping people know, read, and understand the Bible”. A book table, displaying Bibles in various languages, was maintained throughout the seminar. (WR 388/25 - 10/11.04)
