SCOTLAND — The Scottish Bible Society is running a campaign using four eye-catching posters, each promoting a different bite-sized Bible story presented in the form of a novel. The posters are designed to prompt people to visit a dedicated web site, www.bookofgod.org, and to purchase the special books for £1 (US$1.67) each. The books present “brilliant stories that speak to the human condition” and should be very effective in attracting people’s attention, according to Executive Director the Rev Doug Campbell. e-261 October 23, 2003 (WR 382/19-12.01)

VENEZUELA — Bibles donated by United Bible Societies in Venezuela were given to prisoners in the western state of Táchira to mark the Day of the Bible (September 30).
