PALMA SOLA, Argentina Easy access to Gods Word makes a difference! For proof, just ask Claudio Siles, pastor of the Assemblies of God church in this northern Argentina city.
Before the Bible Society came, we had few Bibles, he declares. People would share their Bibles. Now, all of our members have their own.
Mr Siles first met people from the Argentine Bible Society in the central city of Córdoba. He even sold Bibles door-to-door about 14 years ago. So when he became pastor, he wanted to get in touch with the Bible Society.
There was a bookstore about 290 kms [180 miles] away, he says, but that took me two days each way any time we needed to get Scripture materials. That made it difficult.

His churchs outreach includes Scripture distribution in hospitals as well as door-to-door visits. The difficulty in accessing the Scripture materials was seriously hampering progress, but now the Bible Society is delivering Scriptures directly to Palma Sola, and it is making a huge difference. Not only do his members all have their own Bibles, but there are also adequate supplies for outreach.
Now we have Bible dictionaries and other materials in places that didnt even have Bibles before! he smiles. (WR 380/13 - 10.03)
