Bible Society responds to Bali bombs

BALI, Indonesia — More than 7,000 people attended the international worship and seminar session organised by the Indonesian Bible Society (LAI) in response to the bomb attack on a nightclub in Kuta, Bali, on October 12. The event, entitled Heal the Wounded Heart, took place in northeast Bali from November 29 to December 1.

Participants at the event, which was designed for people of any denomination, included representatives of both Christian and secular organisations. They were able to express their sympathy and solidarity towards the tragedy and their hope that it would never happen again. The event also gave an opportunity to report on the distribution of Scriptures by LAI to those affected by the bomb attack. (WR 374/10 - 2.03) e-225 December 12, 2002 [PHOTOS]
