Tagalog/English diglot Bible launched

MANILA, Philippines — The Tagalog/English diglot Bible was launched at the Philippine Bible Society’s (PBS) annual members’ meeting in February. It uses the Tagalog Popular Version and Today’s English Version side by side, allowing readers to switch from one to the other - or to make a direct comparison - on the same page. The Philippines’ first diglot Bible, in Ilokano/English, was published in 1998 and the PBS hopes to publish the Scriptures in diglot format in the five remaining major Philippine languages.
