Bolivian Bible Society comes through the flood distributing Scriptures to victims

Bolivia Focus

COCHABAMBA, Bolivia — The Bolivian Bible Society responded to serious flooding in the La Paz area in February by drawing up plans to distribute Scriptures and, possibly, other humanitarian aid to the victims.

Damaged

Items to be distributed included 5,000 copies of Bible-based colouring books for young children and 5,000 copies of Psalms and Gospel-based material. The Bible House building in La Paz was among those hit by the floods, with the roof and a meeting room being damaged. The water also damaged stock in a ground-floor warehouse. It is estimated that repairs will cost US$10,000.
