Society pays tribute to the Queen Mother

SWINDON, England — The British and Foreign Bible Society has paid tribute to the work of the Queen Mother, who was its patron. Chief Executive James Catford said that the Queen Mother was “a strong Christian believer” who had done much to promote the Bible Society’s work globally. A message of condolence on the Society’s web site expresses sadness at her death and recalls the involvement of the Society and some UBS staff in celebrating her 100th birthday.
