Bible Society invited to extend participation in bookfairDAMASCUS, Syria — “I’m thrilled to see all your children’s books because I remember that in the past you mostly exhibited books for adults. This is a wonderful change. I’d like you to participate in the children’s part of the bookfair as well. I’ve also been told by the director of the bookfair that the Bible Society has been one of the best participants throughout the years.” These were the words of Dr Maha Qanout, Syria’s Minister of Culture, as she visited the Bible Society stand on the opening day of the Damascus Book Fair late last year.
