The Society was hoping the fair would bring major sales of two videos entitled Abraham, part of a series on Bible characters to which it has obtained distribution rights. Describing the decision as a “a real blow,” Bible Society General Secretary Ramez Atallah asked the UBS fellowship to pray about the situation. He said that the Society planned to put a special focus on its printed Scriptures at the bookfair and would increase the advertising of its bookshops where the sale of audiovisual Scriptures is unaffected.
