New Bible House opened in NairobiNAIROBI, Kenya — Guests from across the confessions took part in the opening and dedication of the Bible Society of Kenya’s new Bible House in Nairobi in November. The guest of honour was Francis Nyenze, Kenya’s Minister of Culture and Social Services, and others present included members of the UBS Global Senior Management Team who were meeting at the nearby Anglophone Africa Regional Service Center. The Rev Fergus Macdonald, General Secretary of the UBS, said in his sermon it was his prayer that the new warehouse which forms part of the new premises might become “a great Scripture storehouse supplying God’s Word to... every person in Kenya.” The opening marked the end of an era for the Bible Society as the old Bible House was opened in 1958.(WR 366/18 - 1/2.02) e-175 |
