Bible Society of DR Congo Asks for Prayers
in Wake of Kabila Shooting

KINSHASA, DR Congo — Following the shooting of President Laurent Kabila in January, the Bible Society of the Democratic Republic of Congo (BSDRC) asked for prayers for the country. In an e-mail message sent shortly after the shooting, Dany Mubeno, Bible Society Marketing Manager, assured the UBS fellowship that “all [was] well” at the Bible Society, and that staff members had resumed work. “We thank God for the calm and peace which have surrounded events since January 16,” Mr Mubeno said. “We need your prayers at this turn of events in our country. We know that God, who is faithful, will fulfil everything according to his plan,” added Mr Mubeno. (WR 358/30 - 03.01) e-126
