The writer of the Peru Special Report, Véronique Hoegger (left), is a freelance photojournalist based in Switzerland. In April she visited Venezuela and Peru for the United Bible Societies. Her stories from the former country – still coming to terms with the destruction caused to the state of Vargas by last year’s floods – appeared in last month’s World Report. Her stories about the work of the Peruvian Bible Society are published here.
